Ninný started her studies in the 1970s in the Icelandic school of Arts and Crafts. Since then she has studied extensively in Reykjavík, Copenhagen and most recently in the Accademia Del Giglio in Florence, Italy. Her works usually feature earthly blue and green painterly shapes playfully wrapping around female figures at the center of the pane. The females often dressed in clothes of warm colors create a contrast to the cold earthly hues. Mother earth comes to mind as the molten core of the lively natural forces springing around.
